Janie Lundeen
She was born June 28, 1919 in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of Joseph and Eva (Chesonis) Petrouski. They lived on the East Coast. She married Gerald E. Lundeen at Long Beach, Calif. They lived in California and she worked as a surgical nurse. They moved to Princeton, Minn., in the early 1960s and then to Milaca in 1973. She lived here until moving to live with her children in McGregor in 1998. She has lived in McGregor since. She was a lifetime member of the McGregor VFW Auxiliary and a former member of the Milaca American Legion Auxiliary and Onamia VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Joseph Petrouski of Santa Maria, Calif., Tom and Kathy Lundeen of Princeton, and Rick Lundeen of McGregor; four daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and James Coplan of McGregor, Diann Lundeen of Emily, Minn., Mia Fox of Ogilvie and Janice Venhuizen of Milaca; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Albina Faley of Baltimore, Md. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1966; three grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held Monday, March 17, at St. Maryís Catholic Church in Milaca, with the Rev. Charlie Kunkel officiating. Burial was Tuesday, March 18 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements were by the Sorenson-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
