Frank Reibestein
Pallbearers were brother-in-law John Huonder, cousin Ronald Volker, friend Clarence Guderian, son-in-law Keith Sorenson, nephew Joe Deglman and great-nephew James Dehn. Arrangements were by the Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home of Princeton. Frank died Friday, March 7, 2003 at St. Cloud Hospital. He was born July 29, 1935 in Milaca to Carl and Mary (Washburn) Reibestein. Frank was raised on a farm in Isle until the age of 18 when he entered the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany for two years. After completing his enlistment, he bought his grandparentsí farm in Greenbush township where he farmed, milking cows and growing crops for 48 years. He married Barbara Ann Huonder on Aug. 2, 1969 in Waukon. They were married for 33 years and had five children. Frank had a heart attack in 1993 and bypass surgery in 1996. In 1999 he decided to retire from farming because of poor health. Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara of Milaca; daughters, Anna Sorenson and husband Keith of Zimmerman, Emma Reibestein and Teresa Reibestein, both of Sauk Rapids, and Mary Reibestein of Milaca; son, Carl Reibestein of Milaca; two sisters, Amelia Deglman and husband George, and Theresa Kronbauer and husband Peter, all of Princeton; three granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. ©Mille Lacs County Times |
