Swimming available through community ed Make a splash this summer at the pool! Milaca Community Education summer swimming lessons are available to children and adults of all ages. In fact, this summer they are expanding the offerings in the swim program to help provide something for everyone. American Red Cross (ARC) certified water safety instructors and lifeguards teach all swim lessons, from Infant/Toddler and Preschool, through all ARC Learn to Swim levels. The experienced staff is committed to teaching children and adults how to swim and be safe around the water. For those desiring one-on-one instruction, private lessons are available. New to the schedule this year is an evening łAdult Hour˛ where Adult lessons, Aqua Aerobics and Lap Swim will be offered. In addition, Open Swim has been expanded to include evening hours. Session dates: June 16-26, July 7 - 17 and July 21 - 31. Open Swim will be held during all sessions on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, from 2 - 4 p.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday evening from 8 - 10 p.m. (no need to pre-register for Open Swim). To register for classes, stop in to the Community Education office located just off the main entrance to the Milaca Public Schools, or call 982-7307. Pre-registration is preferred, but once the sessions start, participants can stop by the pool to register. Arrive 10 minutes before the hour, and keep in mind that some classes may already be filled.
