Banks scores ace
in CCS tournament

Chad Banks provided one of the highlights at the ninth annual Community Christian School at Pease Best Shot Golf Tournament Saturday at the Milaca Golf Club when he scored a hole-in-one on the 162-yard No. 7 hole.

Banks was using a 6-iron. His shot landed about four feet behind the hole, then rolled back into the cup.

The tournament awarded prizes for the first, fourth and 10th place teams.

First place went to the team of Matt Ruis, Adam Ruis, Don Ruis and Matthew Ruis while fourth place went to the team of Bill Ruis, Pam Ruis, Greg Ruis and Grant Ruis. The team of Warren Geurkink, Connie Geurkink, Tim Geurkink and Deanne Geurkink won the 10th-place award.

The tournament drew 91 entrants and 150 people attended the dinner.
