Funeral services for Hilda Poorker, 86, were held Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.

Burial followed at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca.

Hilda died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002 in Payne, Ohio.

She was born Jan. 23, 1916 to Daniel and Lottie Kelley (Howe) in Augusta, Wis. She lived there with her family until the age of six, when she moved with her family to Milaca. She grew up and attended school in Milaca. She married George Poorker on June 5, 1937 in South Dakota. They made their home in Milaca and later moved to Nebraska and retired to Texas.

She is survived by her children, Melroy (Audrey) Poorker and Patricia (Henry) Chillingworth; 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Pauline Poorker Cummings; sons, Louis Gossick and James Poorker; three grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
