Theodore E. Stowers Sr.

Theodore E. Stowers Sr., Milaca, a native of Dodge Center, died Monday, Dec. 23, at Elim Home, Milaca. He was 88. Theodore Stowers was born Nov. 2, 1914, in Dodge Center, son of Glen and Mabel Stowers. On April 14, 1936, he married Shirley Jeanete Giesel. Mr. Stowers served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46. He worked for the Donaldson Construction Co., retiring in 1980. After retirement, Mr. Stowers enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and hunting in the north country. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Stowers suffered a stroke and entered Elim Home near his sonís home in Milaca. He is survived by two sons, Phillip D. Stowers of Dodge Center, Theodore H. Stowers Jr., Milaca; a daughter, Patricia A. Kofstad of Park Rapids; nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A private burial service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Cremation Society of Minnesota is in charge of arrangements.
