2003 Cow/Calf Days set at Finlayson

2003 Cow/Calf Days, with trade show and exhibits, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Finlayson Community Center in Finlayson.

Topics include:

ï"Use of By-Products to Meet Nutritional Needs of the Cow Herd" by Alfredo DiConstanzo, Extension Animal Science

ï"Carcass Defects & Quality Marketing Management for Beef Cows" by Deb Roeber, Assistant Professor & Extension Specialist

ï"Estrous Synchronization Using the Newly Approved CIDR" by Cliff Lamb, Extension Animal Scientist

ï"Beef Reports from Area" by Troy Salzer and Lori Schott, Regional Extension Educators

This program is co-sponsored by Central Minnesota Cattlemen's Association, Tri-County Cattlemen's Association and the Snake River Valley Cattlemen's Association.

Cost is $20/person, which includes meal, snacks and educational materials.
