I, along with Mille Lacs County Deputy Bill Hawley, want to take this opportunity to thank the many people and businesses who generously donated money toward the purchase of a new K-9 dual purpose dog for the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Department.

We purchased a 16-month old German Shepherd named Tracker, who is currently being trained for tracking, narcotics, criminal apprehension, building searches and handler protection. Again, thank you to everyone for helping make our community a safer place.
