Action at the John Rice won the menís championship flight while Wendy Prince won the womenís championship flight at the annual Milaca Golf Club Calcutta Tournament Sunday. Doug Reetz placed second in the menís championship flight while Grant Ruis notched third place. Other golfers in the championship flight included Mike Kuperus, Chris Ruis, Chad Reetz, Bob Liestman and Tony Hoeck. Alana Reetz finished second in the womenís championship flight while Nancy Ruis placed third. Other golfers in the championship flight included Andrea Rusk, Julie Norrgard, Wendy Hoeck, Connie Patnode and Donna Hjort. Bruce Roehl placed first in the menís first flight, with Chad Banks finishing second and Travis Kiel placing third. Greg Anderson won the menís second flight while Dave Leom placed second and Don Herr finished third. Mitch Siemers won the menís third flight, with Dan Mettling placing second and Joel Warner taking third place. Mark VanGrinsven won the menís fourth flight, with Larry Karels placing second and Gregg Johnson finishing third. Leah Nelson won the womenís first flight while Lynn VanOrt placed second and Carolyn Fox finished third. Irv Brinwall won the menís senior title, with Bob Hamill placing second and Roger Olson placing third. Nick Marudas, who was in the menís first flight, notched a hole-in-one on the 149-yard No. 3 hole. He was using an 8-iron. It was the 12th hole-in-one recorded on the new course, which is in its second season.
