Itís not the "Antique Road Show," but itís the next best thing.

On Saturday, Aug. 10 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., residents can bring antique items to the Senior and Historical Building at the Mille Lacs County Fair.

Local business people will be on hand to answer questions about that antique pottery piece or post card you have at home.

Categories include: Red Wing pottery, coins and currency, post cards, old-time advertising, gas station items, depression glass, antique farm items and childrenís items.

Sue Johnson is coordinating this new, free event at the fair and said, "Iím hoping it will go well. If it does, weíll probably make it an annual event."

"These people have been very generous with their time," Johnson said of the volunteers who will be answering questions.

Attendees are asked to bring one item only, which can be carried to the fairgrounds.

For additional information, contact Johnson at 320-532-4425.
