Eugene Alderink Eugene Frances Alderink, 69, of Georgetown, Texas, died Sunday, March 24, 2002, in Temple, Texas. Funeral services were Wednesday, March 27, at New Hope Baptist Church in Cedar Park, Texas, with the Rev. Paul Kemp officiating. Burial was Thursday, March 28, at Moore Memorial Garden in Arlington, Texas. Pallbearers were Ted Butler, Cody Davis, Milton Dowd, Joe Gartman, Bert Lindley, and Ronnie Sublett. Arrangements were by the Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. He was born March 25, 1932, to George and Bessie Alderink in Pease, Minn. Eugene worked for IBM from 1960 until 1980, as a systems engineer and then as a consultant until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Melvin Alderink of Minneapolis. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marilyn Alderink of Georgetown; a daughter, Tammy Kahlden of Jonestown, Texas; three sons, Scott Alderink of Hurst, Texas, Jonathan Alderink of Dallas, Texas; and George Alderink of Sugarland, Texas; six grandchildren, Ryan, Blake and Kaitlyn Alderink of Hurst, and Lindsey, Paige, and Courtney Alderink of Sugarland, Texas; one sister, Delores Eizenga of South Holland, Ill.; and one brother, Elroy Alderink of Boston, Mass. In place of remembrances, the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the New Hope Baptist Church, c/o the Building Fund in memory of Eugene F. Alderink, 200 West New Hope Drive, Cedar Park, TX 78613.
