A boy, Samuel James, was born on Saturday, April 14, along with his twin brother, Nicholas Joseph, who died before birth. Samuel weighed 4 lbs. 13 ounces and was 17-1/2 inches long.

Parents are Kent and Debbie Thompson of Foreston. Grandparents are Jeanette and the late Denis Rahm of Foreston and Joyce and Dan Thompson of Alexandria. Great-grandmothers are Loretta Herbst and Mary Rahm, both of Foley.
