Charles Dubany

Funeral services for Charles Henry Dubany, 55, were held Saturday, May 26, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with the Rev. Gary Fehring officiating.

Music was provided by Laurel Nelson and Jennie Warner. His children and their boyfriends served as pallbearers for the service.

Arrangements were by the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca.

Mr. Dubany died Thursday, May 24, 2001 at his home in Milaca.

He was born Oct. 2, 1945 in Albert Lea, Minn., to Oliver and Berna (Jacobson) Dubany. He grew up and attended school in Gothenberg, Neb. After graduation, he moved to Minneapolis where he met Carol Ledeen. They were married Dec. 12, 1970 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca. He worked at Safe Tran and Holiday Sporting Goods in Fridley until his retirement.

He enjoyed reading, building models and loved fishing and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed spending many happy hours with his grandpa, Charles.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of Milaca; sons, Robert and Andrew of Milaca; daughters, Laura and boyfriend Troy Carlson of Bloomington, Sarah of Milaca, Kristina and boyfriend Basil Han of Milaca, and Carla of Milaca; brothers, Lee and Steve of Jacksonville, Fla.; aunt, Sheila Jarvis of Albert Lea; uncle Dale Jacobson of Minneapolis; mother-in-law, Janis Ledeen; godson, Adam Warner of Minneapolis; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; brother, Dean; sister, Carole; father-in-law, Vernon Ledeen; and son, Charles Ryan.
