Bernard Swiderski, 85, of Silver Bay and formerly of Onamia, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Onamia with the Rev. William McNiff officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Onamia.

Bernard is survived by his son, Donald Swiderski and wife Patricia of St. Louis Park; daughters, Virginia Ellis and husband Joe of Apple Valley, Jeanette Peterson and husband Gary of Crystal, Judith Harvey and husband Paul of Edina and Bonnie Parker and husband Douglas of Onamia; brothers, Steve Swiderski and wife Sue of Onamia, John Swiderski and wife Ilene of Onamia and Joseph Swiderski and wife Elaine of Minneapolis; sisters, Helen Johnson and husband Oliver of Chaska and Stella Forsberg and husband Bernard of Rancho Cordova, Calif.
