ïJohn Minks, 14, of rural Foreston was killed in a tractor accident Saturday, April 18. He was the son of Virgil and Sharon Minks.

ïThe Milaca High School Swing Choir will present its final concert of the year Tuesday, April 28 in the Middle School Auditorium. Members include Sue Warmanen, Cheryl Hanks, Kathy Wig, Lisa Herr, Heidi Gerstenkorn, Sally Leaf, Brenda Hardy, Beth Blomquist, Julee Seger, Randy Sundberg, Paul Hjort, Bill Hjort, Jim Bergstrom, Gary Koppendrayer, Paul Olson, Dean Olson, Reed Soderstrom and Curt Wall.

ïA huge, new banner across Highway 169 in Milaca tells visitors and passers through that Milaca is a "growing community of friendly, progressive people." The city has also adopted a new rainbow logo which will appear on the cityís buildings, vehicles, signs and stationary. "The rainbow logo is designed to portray a fresh attitude of the city and give a progressive feeling about the city," said City Manager Zack Zoul.
